Student artists from Southwest High School were recently recognized for their work at the Ozark 7 Conference Art Show at Crowder College in Neosho. Angelica Tate and India Rutherford, pictured above, were two of the Southwest winners. They earned first place in sculpture. Other winners were: Travis Hayworth, second place in hand-built pottery; Kyle Miller, fourth place in hand-built pottery; Paj Chea Yang, second place in fibers; and Cynthia Nalley, sixth place in hand-built pottery. The Southwest Art Department is under the direction of Mrs. Freda Selby.
