Area residents injured in crashes

A single-vehicle crash on Farm Road 2260 one mile north of Golden left an area man with minor injuries.

The crash occurred at 5 p.m. on Saturday when the driver of a 1990 Toyota 4- Runner, James A. Farris, 42, of Golden, traveled off the left side of the highway and overturned. According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Farris was suffering a medical condition when the crash occurred.

Farris was taken to St. John's Hospital in Berryville, Ark., with minor injuries. He was wearing a seat belt.

Other crashes

* A single-vehicle wreck on Friday left a Monett man with serious injuries. The crash occurred at 10:15 p.m. on Highway 112 five miles south of Cassville when the driver of a 2000 Lincoln, Jose Martinez, 30, of Monett, ran off the right side of the roadway, returned to the road and then ran off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree. A passenger in the vehicle, William J. Sweat, 15, of Cassville, was also injured in the wreck. Both occupants of the vehicle were taken by ambulance to Cox Hospital South in Springfield. Martinez was wearing a seat belt, but Sweat was not.

* A single-vehicle wreck on Thursday resulted in minor injuries to a Purdy teen. The wreck occurred at 6:02 p.m. on Farm Road 1055 three miles north of Exeter when the driver of a 2010 Chevrolet, Bailey A. Bowman, 15, of Exeter, ran off the road and overturned. A passenger in the vehicle, Chelsee N. Whitmore, 15, of Purdy, received minor injuries in the crash and was taken to St. John's Hospital-Cassville. Both occupants of the vehicle were wearing seat belts.

* A single-vehicle wreck on Farm Road 2010 two miles south of Aurora on Monday left a Verona woman with moderate injuries. The crash occurred at 1:30 p.m. when the driver of a 1996 Pontiac Sunfire, Tammra L. Wirth, 34, of Verona, traveled off the left side of the road and struck a tree. Wirth was taken to St. John's Hospital-Aurora. She was wearing a seat belt.
