Rosetta Fern Keen, age 72, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2011, in Moore-Few Care Center, Nevada, Missouri.
She was born March 30, 1939, in Reeds Spring, Missouri, the daughter of Roy and Jessie (Dotson) Reser. On June 17, 1960, she was united in marriage to Gary Meador Keen, who preceded her in death on August 4, 2005. Also preceding her in death were her parents, two sons, Gary Lance Keen in 1971 and Gregory Worth Keen in 1988.
Survivors include: one son, Louie Keen and his wife, Nadya, of Washburn, Missouri; three daughters, Misty Keen, of Seattle, Washington, Cynthia Keen, of St. Louis, Missouri, and Amber Wolfe and her husband, Chad, of Lamar, Missouri; one sister, Roberta Kaczmarek of Salem, Missouri; and seven grandchildren, Gregory, Lucas, Adam, Mikal, Evan, Kayleigh, and Brayden.
Rosetta grew up and received her education at Reeds Spring, where she graduated from high school. She attended two years at Southwest Missouri State University. For four years, she worked for the ASC office. Most of her life was spent helping on the family farms, known as 4-K Farms. She also helped Gary with the operation of the Cassville Livestock Market, which they owned several years. Along with raising cattle she also cropped her land for seed. In the last few years, she did the bookkeeping for her son, Louie. Her favorite pastime was gardening. She was a member of Cassville First Baptist Church.
Graveside services were held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2011, at Oak Hill Cemetery, Cassville, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Reverend James Weaver conducted the services.
