Janet Lee "Jan" James, 55, of Robeline, La., passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2011, in Christus Highland Health Center, Shreveport, La.

She was born Feb. 10, 1956, in Lawton, Okla., the daughter of Albert and Patricia "Pattie" (Salyer) Savory. On Jan. 3, 1987, she was united in marriage to John James, who survives.

Additional survivors include: one son, Robbie Rubison, of Ponca City, Okla.; two daughters, Cassie Nelson and Deanne James, both of Ft. Jesup, La.; three grandchildren; two brothers, Sam Savory and his wife, Danita, of Ripley, Okla., and Jack Savory and his wife, Debbie, of Stillwater, Okla.; and four sisters, Carolyn Yeary and her husband, Robert, of Tacoma, Wash., Cathy Slavens, of Stillwater, Okla., Shirley Driskill, of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Loretta Sager and her husband, Sonny, of Perkins, Okla.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Perry James; and one brother, Jerry Savory.

She received her education in Perkins, Okla., where she graduated from high school.

She was a member of the Baptist faith and the Lions Club in Louisiana.

Funeral services were held Sunday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Tony Ball conducted the services. Burial was at Muncie Chapel Cemetery, Wheaton.
