Steve Henderson, Cassville wastewater treatment plant operator, received a Missouri Water and Wastewater Conference Operator of the Year Award at a luncheon held in Monett last week. "To get this award, you must be so outstanding in the water and wastewater treatment field that your name just pops to the top of the list of the other operators in 22 counties," said Charles Sweet, southwest region representative. "A nomination from the operators in the region, plus input from the southwest region itself and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, means that many people in this field have been consulted before this award is given. Steve is so deserving of this, and we are proud to have someone of his caliber in our ranks." Henderson has been employed by the City of Cassville for 28 years. He has served as the principal operator at the city's wastewater treatment plant for 16 years.
