Candidates needed for Council On Aging
In June, four new members will be elected to the Barry County Council on Aging (BCCOA) Board of Directors. A pair of at-large board members and representatives of the Cassville and Shell Knob senior centers will be elected.
Individuals interested in serving on the board should send a letter of intent to Sharon Madison, BCCOA secretary, 1111 Fair St., Cassville MO 65625. Letters must be submitted by May 25.
Candidates must indicate if they are interested in serving as a Cassville or Shell Knob representative or an at-large member of the board. Candidates will be listed on the ballot based on the date that their letter is received.
Campaigning rules and information on election procedures will be mailed to each candidate 10 days prior to the election. Elected board members will serve two-year terms.
Elections will be held at the Cassville, Monett and Shell Knob senior centers on June 8. Voting hours will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Write-in votes will be accepted.
