Cassville Boy Scout Troop #185 recently held a Court of Honor Ceremony to recognize Scout achievements. A total of 24 rank advancement badges and merit badges were awarded during the event. Scouts had the opportunity to receive the tracking and carpentry badges, which were introduced in 1911 and discontinued in 1952. The badges were made available for the 100th anniversary of Boy Scouting, and badge requirements could only be completed in 2010. The troop also celebrated its achievement of scoring in the top three at the Klondike Derby in each of the past four years and placing first in the skills division in two of the last four years.
