According to Dove Haney, Cassville YMCA facility manager, all the bounce houses were moved inside the facility due to inclement weather, however, that did not stop the fun.
"We were very pleased with the turnout," Haney said. "We had a lot of good comments."
Participants had the opportunity to take part in a one-mile fun run, face painting, contests, games, volleyball, badminton and more.
A variety of businesses were also on hand to provide information about summer activities that will be available to area youth. Those included: the Barry County Health Department; Haven of the Ozarks; First Baptist Church of Cassville; Emmanuel Baptist Church; Dr. Carolyn Hunter, DMD; Girl Scouts; Cassville Branch Library, Piggy Paint; and Barry Electric.
"We are promoting healthy choices and a healthy lifestyle," Haney said. "This was a good time for families to come play together and find good alternatives for summer activities."
