The Southwest Coalition of Excellent Decision Makers (SW COED) will host a prescription medication take back event at the Washburn City Hall, located at 321 Main St., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 30.
"This is an opportunity for individuals to safely dispose of medications that are no longer being used in order to protect our youth from teen prescription drug abuse and to protect our ground water supplies," said Kati Rose, SW COED member. "Please bring any expired or unused prescription medications to one of the locations. You do not have to be a resident of Barry County to turn in medications."
The SW COED prescription medication take back event is supported by the Department of Mental Health, the Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the City of Washburn and the Washburn Police Department.
