Wildcats are third at Big 8 golf tourney

The Cassville Wildcat golf team placed fifth at the Big 8 Conference tournament.

Parker Stumpff earned All-Big 8 first team honors, shooting a 76, which was good for fourth place. Evan White was named to the All-Big 8 second team for his sixth place finish. White shot a 78.

Other top Wildcat golfers were: Roper Hayward, 92, 24th; Brady Pry, 94, 27th; and Zane LeCompte, 100, 30th.

Monett's Jacob Fair was the meet medalist. He shot a tournament-leading 69.

Other meet results

Last Thursday, Cassville golfers competed in the Aurora meet. The Wildcats finished fourth with a team score of 349.

Individual scores were as follows: White, 84; Stumpff, 84; Wil LeCompte, 90; Pry, 91; and Zane LeCompte, 94.

In a JV tournament on Wednesday, the Wildcats were victorious, winning the event with a score of 360 ahead of Carl Junction (385) and Mt. Vernon (401).

Cassville golfers tallied the following scores: Pry, 83, first place; Cady Stehlik, 89, third; Zane LeCompte, 91, fifth; Connor Redmon, 99; and Wyatt Warner, 109.
