Cassville cupstackers earn top honors

Nearly 40 cupstackers from Cassville and Aurora participated in the annual Claw and Paw Sport Stacking Tournament held in Cassville on April 2. Students competed in five speedstacking events.

Issac Dodson was the top overall stacker in all three individual events, 3-3-3, 3-6-3 and cycle.

Awards were presented to over 20 Cassville students in five age divisions. Cassville Cat Stacker award winners are listed below by division.

Age 7-and-under division: Cutter Hicks, first place, 3-3-3, 3-6-3 and cycle; Zane Mebruer, second place, 3-6-3 and cycle; Haidon Rogers, second place, 3-3-3; and Quixote Gautney, third place, 3-3-3, 3-6-3 and cycle.

Age 8 division: Carson Whittemire, first place, 3-3-3, 3-6-3 and cycle; and Nerfertiti Gautney, third place, 3-3-3, and second place, 3-6-3 and cycle.

Age 9 division: Bowen Preddy, first place 3-6-3 and cycle; Madry McCrackin, first place, 3-3-3, and second place, 3-6-3 and cycle; Cole Stringer, second place, 3-3-3; Kennedy Parnell, third place, 3-6-3; and Tayler McCullah, third place, cycle.

Age 10 division: Megan Sloan, third place, 3-3-3; Mary Hayse, first place, 3-3-3 and cycle, and second place, 3-6-3; Amber Large, second place, 3-3-3; Dakota Moss, third place, 3-3-3 and 3-6-3; Dylan McCormack, first place, 3-6-3, and second place, cycle; and Austin Wilson, third place, cycle. Sloan and Moss tied for third place in the 3-3-3 event.

Age 11-and-up division: Dodson, first place, 3-3-3, 3-6-3 and cycle; Megan Richter, second place, 3-3-3 and 3-6-3, and third place, cycle; Garrett Knight, third place, 3-3-3; and David Whittemire, third place, 3-6-3, and second place, cycle.

"We had numerous students medal in the team relays as well," said coaches Treslyn Pollreisz and Maria San Paolo. "We were very excited for all of the stackers this year. This is the fifth speed stacking tournament that we have held at Cassville, and each student did a great job. We are very proud of each one of them."
