Dora Helen (Beaver) Spaulding, 98, of Pierce City, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2011, at her home. She was born on Oct. 3, 1912, in Stella, the daughter of Carence Craven and Bessie Mae (Bufford) Kirk. She attended Horton School near Rocky Comfort. On July 10, 1928, she married George Irvin Beaver in Cassville, and he preceded her in death on June 7, 1966. She and George moved to Redding, Calif., and in 1982, she returned to Missouri.
Survivors include: eight children, Gloria "Nadine" McLean, of Shasta Lake, Calif., Rosa "Joan" (Charlie) Chapman, of Pierce City, Jerry Dale (Jolene) Beaver of Redding, Calif., Marvin Royce (Linda) Beaver, of Shasta Lake, Calif.; Barbara June (Carl) Webb, of Redding, Calif., Linda Jane (Mike) Pope, of Redding, Calif., Peggy Darlene (Bill) McKinney, of Aurora, and Debra Helen Beaver, of Redding, Calif.; one sister, Mildred E. Lenney, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; 26 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-great-grandchildren.
She is also preceded in death by her second husband, Harold Spaulding; one daughter, Imogene; three sons, Douglas Irvin, George Ronald and Dickey Nolan Beaver; three grandchildren; and three brothers, Carl Edward, John E, and Warren D. Kirk.
A funeral service was held Saturday in the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora with burial at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Butterfield.
