Donald Ray "Donnie" Brown, 64, of Wheaton, passed away Monday, March 14, 2011, in his home.

He was born Aug. 2, 1946, in Barry County, the son of Malloy L. and Georgia Odean (Charles) Brown. On Jan. 21, 1988, he was united in marriage to Pauline (Spencer) Williams, who survives.

Additional survivors include: two children, Dustin Brown, of Cassville, and Donna Moore and her husband, Kerry, of Cassville; two stepchildren, Jason Williams, of Joplin, and Melissa Gountas and her husband, John, of Pensacola, Fla.; four grandchildren; and two step- grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Larry Brown.

He received his education at Wheaton, graduating from Wheaton High School with the Class of 1964. During the Vietnam War, he was in the United States Army, serving from May 24, 1966, until April 8, 1968. For 27 years, he was employed at Fasco, retiring in 2002. He also farmed and raised baby calves. He was a member of Wheaton First Baptist Church.

Graveside services with military honors were held Thursday at Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter, under direction of McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Pastor Mark Hall conducted the services.
