Esther L. Painter Harrison, of Exeter, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2011, at her home.

She was born on Dec. 18, 1934, daughter of William and Bessie (Andrews) Painter in Bakersfield, Calif. She was a life-long resident of Barry County and a graduate of the Cassville High School Class of 1951. After completion of school, she joined the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean War. She was a licensed manicurist and previous employee of Litton's in Springfield. She retired from Fasco Industries in Cassville after 10 years of service.

Survivors include: two sons, Jim Dossett, of Cassville, and Wes Harrison, and his wife, Kelly, of Aurora; one daughter, Bobby Branham, and her husband, Robert, of Exeter; one sister, Martha Creason, of Rogers, Ark.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Honey Marie Singletary; one daughter-in-law, Hazel Dossett; eight brothers; and two sisters.

Services with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter. A Pot-Luck lunch and Celebration of Esther's Life will begin at 11 a.m. at the White Funeral Home Community Room in Cassville. All are welcome to attend and bring their favorite covered dish.
