Margaret Jean Huston, 69, of Rocky Comfort, passed away Monday, March 7, 2011, in her home.
She was born April 10, 1941, in Wheaton, the daughter of Ernest E. and Waive C. (Farrington) Ellison. On July 23, 1976, in Rocky Comfort, she was united in marriage to Mahlon D. Huston, who survives.
Additional survivors include: two sons, Billy H. McCully, Jr., and his wife, Janice, of Stella, and Ned A. Huston, of Rocky Comfort; two daughters, Catherine M. Canfield and her husband, Steve, of Springdale, Ark., and Christie J. Bowers, of Gladstone, Ill.; three brothers, Emery E. Ellison, of Stella, Bob E. Ellison, of Cassville, and Kenneth Ellison, of Stark City; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; five brothers, Merle, Bill, Red, Dick and Junior; a sister, Thelma Mae; and two sisters-in-law, Geraldine and Betty Lou.
She grew up and received her education at Rocky Comfort. For several years, she resided in Springdale, Ark., moving back to Rocky Comfort 33 years ago to make her home. She was a member of Living Word Mission Church. She was president of the Rocky Comfort Redevelopment Committee and was active with the Chapel of The Ozarks Food Pantry.
Graveside services were held Thursday at Rocky Comfort Cemetery under direction of McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Rev. Billy Joe Gentry conducted the services.
