Carl Loy Davidson, 88, of Wheaton, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at his home surrounded by family and friends.

He was born April 24, 1922, in Rocky Comfort, the son of Ephron and Naomi (Tucker) Davidson. On Nov. 19, 1941, in Wheaton, he was united in marriage to Christine Jones.

Survivors include: his wife, Christine; three children, Loy Davidson, of Pacific, Chris Ann Bailey and her husband, Ji, of Wheaton, and Jenna Lea Harling and her husband, Jerry, of Seligman; sixteen grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were two daughters, Carlene Spain and Clarice Haase; his parents; two grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Davidson; one sister, Willodean Davidson; and one brother, Lavon Davidson.

He was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Wheaton. He grew up and received his education at Wheaton, graduating from Wheaton High School with the Class of 1939. he farmed, rode horses and loved watching and supporting all sports at the schools. He was a long time member of the Wheaton Saddle Club and was a school board member.

Funeral services were held Friday at First Baptist Church, Wheaton, under the direction of McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Donnie Spears and Pastor Mark Hall conducted the services. Burial was at Rocky Comfort Cemetery.
