Clyde Lloyd Hagee, 80, of Purdy, formerly of Washburn, passed away Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, in Barry County Care Center, Cassville.
He was born Nov. 30, 1930, in El Paso, Texas, the son of Ralph C. and Myrtis (Tannehill) Hagee. On Aug. 20, 1950, in Mason, Texas, he was united in marriage to Lucille J. Kelso, who preceded him in death on Feb. 7, 1999, after 48 years of marriage. Also preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Bruce and Gordon Hagee; and a great-granddaughter.
Survivors include: three sons, Rocklynn T. Hagee and his wife, Elaine, of Adkins, Texas, Delvynn R. Hagee, of Washburn, Weslynn C. Hagee and his wife, Marilyn, of Washburn; two daughters, Cheri Taylor, of Marionville, and Garnett R. Black and her husband, Jackie, of Washburn; two brothers, Neal L. Hagee, of Rogers, Ark., and Douglas W. Hagee, of the state of Pennsylvania; one sister, Jone A. Bohl of Hiwasse, Ark.; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He received his education in Harper, Texas, where he graduated from high school. Most of his life was spent as a truck driver, but he also worked with livestock, punching cattle, breaking horses and sheering sheep. In 1987, he moved from Norman, Okla., to Washburn to make his home. He was a member of Prairie Hill Baptist Church at Washburn.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Washburn First Baptist Church. Rev. Glenn Erwin will conduct the services. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
