David Lee Peck, 81, of Eagle Rock, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011, at Cedar Ridge Care Center in Cassville.

He was born Jan. 21, 1930, in Morris, Kan., to Calvin and Yula Peck. He attended school in Kansas City, Kan., graduating from Turner High School in 1950. He retired in 1992 from AT&T after more than 20 years as a building technician.

On June 1, 1980, in Buckner, he married Joann (Stringer) Easley, who survives.

In 2004, they moved to the Eagle Rock area.

He was a member of All Faith United Methodist Church in Eagle Rock.

Additional survivors include: one brother, Calvin Peck and wife, Karen, of Cascade Locks, Ore.; two sons, David Peck, of Riverside, and Gerald Peck and wife, Shelly, of Cassville; two daughters, Mary Richardson and husband, Steve, of Bonner Springs, Kan., and Connie West and husband, Doug, of Shawnee, Kan.; four step-sons, Gary Siler and wife, Sherry, John Chamberlin and his wife, Connie, Ed Chamberlin, all of Lebanon, Mo., and Sam Chamberlin, of Arizona; three step-daughters, Shawna Flowers and husband, Bill, of Cassville, and Donna Wilson, and Kathy Burgess, both of Lebanon, Mo.; three foster sons, Larry Basnight and Harry Basnight, of the Kansas City area, and Mike Basnight and wife, Vikky, of Sylvester, Ga.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, and one brother, Bill Peck.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, March 19 at Fohn Funeral Home. A second Celebration of Life will be held at Level Creek United Methodist Church in Suwanee, Ga., shortly thereafter.
