Greg Deppe, 63, of Shell Knob, passed away on Monday, Jan. 10, 2011, at Cox South in Springfield.
He was born on Jan. 7, 1947, in St Louis, the son of Harold Deppe and Mildred Owens Deppe. He was raised in Mt. Sterling. After his 18-year term in the U.S. Army, where he served in Vietnam, he became employed at Kennedy Contractors in Springfield, where he handled heavy equipment and bulldozers.
He was united in marriage to Marilyn Schalk on May 8, 1981, at Silver Dollar City in Branson.
Survivors include: his wife, Marilyn, of Shell Knob; one son, Todd Deppe and his wife, Melissa, of Cuba, Mo.; two daughters, Mekala Rooffener and her husband, Marvin, and Bethany Moore, both of Owensville; one step-son, Phillip Pendergrass and his wife, Michelle, of Westville, Ind.; one brother, Rodney Deppe and his wife, Chris, of Bay, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Memorial services were held at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be entrusted to White Funeral Home for Marilyn Deppe.
Cremation arrangements were under the direction of the White Funeral Home, Cassville.
