Ferman "Mac" McCarney Reeder, 72, of Seligman, passed away on Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, at his home.
He was born on July 29, 1938, in Nowata, Okla., son of Neal McCarney Reeder and Francis Eudora Miles. He owned his own business, Boulevard 37 Auto Salvage in Seligman, and although he retired 10 years ago, he kept it as a hobby.
He was united in marriage to Karen LaRocque on Sept. 2, 1976, in Bentonville, Ark., and she survives.
Additional survivors include: two sons, John Miller, of Roy, Wash., and Steven Reeder, of Smyrna, Tenn.; two daughters, Deanna Reeder, of Moreno Valley, Calif., and Trena Leonard, of Seligman; three brothers, Miles Reeder, of Sardis, Ark., Cleve Reeder, of Seligman, and Brian Reeder, of Garfield, Ark.; one sister, Virginia Young, of Beaumont, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Bonnie Reeder; one brother, Neal Reeder; and four sisters, Merium Reeder, Prudence Tessman, India Reeder and Amanda Lay.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the White Funeral Home in Cassville. Following the service, family and friends will celebrate Ferman's life in the community room at the White Funeral Home.
Cremation and memorial arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home, Cassville.
