Judith L. "Judy" Cooper, 70, of Wheaton, passed away at her home Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011, after a lengthy illness.

She was born July 11, 1940, in Cassville, the daughter of Ted and Georgia (Williams) Hopkins. On Sept. 5, 1958, she was united in marriage to Don Cooper. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Survivors include: one son, Marc Cooper and his wife, Barbara, of Cape Fair; two daughters, Lynne Clark and her husband, Ken, of Arlington, Texas, and Ann Odenbrett and her husband, Scott, of Exeter; one brother, Lanny Hopkins and his wife, Sandy, of Joplin; one sister, Sue Stiles and her husband, Gary, of Cassville; 12 grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren.

She grew up in Cassville, graduating with the high school class of 1958. She worked for many years in the community at Allied Telephone and most recently as personnel manager for Cassville Walmart until her retirement. She was a life member of the Wheaton Saddle Club. She was an active member of Wheaton Southern Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Saturday in McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Pastor Paul Wahlert conducted the services. Burial was at Corinth Cemetery, Cassville.
