First baby born in Monett

Blair named First Baby of 2011 The Cassville Democrat's First Baby of 2011, Dimitrius Mikhil Conlan Blair, was born at 7:29 a.m. on Jan. 2 at Cox Monett Hospital to Eden Blair, of Monett. Dimitrius is pictured above with his mother.

Dimitrius Mikhil Conlan Blair, son of Eden Blair, of Monett, has been named as the Cassville Democrat's First Baby of 2011.

Little Dimitrius was born at 7:29 a.m. on Jan. 2 at Cox Monett Hospital. He weighed 8 pounds and 1 ounce and measured 20 inches. Dr. Matt Green, a physician with Family Practice and Obstetrics of Monett, delivered the New Year's baby.

As the winner of the First Baby contest, Dimitrius and his family will receive an assortment of gifts from area businesses who sponsored the contest.

Gifts include: a special gift from Barry Electric Cooperative; a baby ring from Tomblin's; a special surprise from Designs by Debbie; a special gift from Neill's Home Store; a $50 gift card from Fastrip; a surprise package from Cassville First Baptist Church; a $50 savings bond from Freedom Bank; a supply of disposable diapers from Security Bank; a $50 savings bond from First State Bank; a case of disposable diapers from St. John's Hospital-Cassville; a special surprise from Ball and Prier Tire; and a baby book and a year's subscription from the Cassville Democrat.

Dimitrius is the Cassville Democrat's 16th "First Baby" winner.
