Elizabeth "Lu" Hulse, 84, of Cassville, passed away Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, in Red Rose Health and Rehabilitation Center, Cassville.
She was born Dec. 5, 1926, in Pawhuska, Okla., the daughter of Luther and Lola Clarice (Grissette) Wood. In February 1945, in Pawhuska, Okla., she was united in marriage to Albert "Leo" Hulse, who preceded her in death in June 1998. Also preceding her in death were her parents; two sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include: one son, Robert Craig Hulse and his wife, Carolyn, of Bloomfield, Iowa; four daughters, Anne Master and her husband, Wade, of Garland, Texas, Judy Landon and her husband, Jim, of Burien, Wash., Diana Hurley, of Sparks, Nev., and Mary Jessup of Salem, Oregon; one sister, Sue Wood, of Shell Knob; 22 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and two great-great- grandchildren.
She received her education in Pawhuska, Okla., where she graduated from high school. For several years, she resided in Salem, Ore., where she worked for an abstract company. Later, she moved back to Pawhuska, Okla., and in 2002, moved to Shell Knob to make her home prior to entering Red Rose one year ago. She was of the Methodist faith.
