Emma Josephine Snyder, 76, of Kansas City, formerly of Eagle Rock, passed away Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, in Ashton Court Care & Rehabilitation Center at Liberty.

She was born July 26, 1934, in Pevely, the daughter of William and Emma (Taylor) Reifenberger. On Sept. 5, 1953, at Arnold, she was united in marriage to Richard Dean Snyder, who preceded her in death on April 19, 2005. Also preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors include: one son, Jay P. Snyder and his wife, Sharon, of Kansas City; three daughters, Kendra Hale and her husband, Jack, of Kansas City, Angie Claypool and her husband, David, of Eagle Rock, and Jewel Farwell and her husband, Marvin, of Eagle Rock; one brother, Bill Reifenberger, of Barnhart; one sister, Wilma Preiss, of St. Clair; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She grew up and received her education in the St. Louis area. In 1978, she and Richard moved to Eagle Rock where they owned and operated The Office Pub and Deli for 17 years. She was a member of Golden Church of God.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Roach Cemetery, Eagle Rock, under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
