Alton Richard Bittle, 81, of Rogers, Ark., died Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at his home.

Alton was born December 26, 1928 in Shiloh, Ark., to the late Harvey and Sarah (Bullard) Bittle. Alton served his country in Korea in the Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Sarah, and one brother, G.H. Bittle.

Survivors include: his loving wife of 38 years, Lorraine (Allison) Bittle, of the home; three sons, Richard Bittle and his wife, Diane, of Galena, Mo., Ronnie Bittle and his wife, Jane, of Neosho, Mo., and Lyle Bittle, of Cassville, Mo.; two daughters, Phyllis Easley and her husband, Ed, of Cassville, Mo., and Debra Blankenship and her husband, Pat, of Jenkins, Mo.; two brothers, Billy Bittle and his wife, Eloise, of Heber Springs, Ark., and Rizle Bittle and his wife, Myra, of Little Rock, Ark.; three sisters, Irene Verser and her husband, Theo, of Rogers, Ark., Geneva King and her husband, Dale, of Searcy, Ark., and Estelle Cullins, of Ridgecrest, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for Alton were held Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, at Benton County Memorial Park Cemetery in Rogers, Ark.
