Delbert J.R. Graves, 78, of Wheaton, passed away Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, in his home.

He was born March 28, 1932, in Cassville, the son of Avie W. and Trudie Mae (Sherman) Graves. On Oct. 2, 1956, in Miami, Okla., he was united in marriage to Georgia Tucker, and to this union two daughters were born.

He received his education at Butterfield and was a life-long resident of Barry County. For several years, he was employed at Kraft Foods in Wheaton and then worked for Railway Ice Company in Monett, retiring in the late 1970s. After his retirement, he owned and operated D&G Service Station in Monett and then was owner of Double G Auction in Cassville.

Survivors include: two daughters, Vickie Harper, of Allen, Texas, and Debbie Bobski and her husband, Gary, of Monett; six grandchildren; one stepgrandson; and five great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Charlie Graves.

Funeral services were held Tuesday in McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Bro. Steve Higgs conducted the services.
