Fred A. Seward, a resident of Eureka Springs, Ark., was born February 26, 1926 in Gene Autry, Oklahoma, a son of Fred Eugene and Fern (Randolph) Seward. He departed this life Friday, October 8, 2010 in Eureka Springs, at the age of 84.
Mr. Seward worked as an Air Craft Mechanic for G.E. for thirty years. He also served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
On December 31, 1953, Fred was united in marriage with Mary E. Collins who survives him of the home. He is also survived by two daughters and one son, Diana Seabolt of Augusta, Kan., Fredrick Seward of Eureka Springs, Ark., and Lisa Liggett of Eureka Springs, AR; two sisters and one brother of Wichita Falls, Texas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Eugene and Fern Seward; two sons, Steven Cain and Michael Cain; three brothers; and one sister.
Visitation was from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Monday, October 11, 2010, at Nelson's Chapel of the Springs in Eureka Springs, Ark. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 11, 2010, at Nelson's Chapel of the Springs under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service, Inc.
