Gerald Earl "Jake" Noller, 92, of Shell Knob, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, in his residence at The Playce.

He was born March 16, 1918, on a farm near Mankato, Kan., the son of Jake and Florence (Hoagland) Noller. In 1940, in Beloit, Kan., he was united in marriage to Ione Gildersleeve and to this union two children were born. Ione preceded him in death on Sept. 23, 1999. On April 10, 2002, he married Dorothy Ribordy, who also preceded him in death. Others preceding him in death were: his parents; one daughter, Phyllis Hayes; one brother; and one sister.

Survivors include: one son, Stephen Noller and his wife, Virginia, of Shell Knob; one sister, Joyce Gillette, of Overland; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

At the age of 10, he moved to Randall, Kan., where he finished 12 years of school. For several years, he was employed for auto dealerships in Beloit, Kan., until 1957, when he moved to Topeka, Kan. He moved from Topeka to Shell Knob two and a half years ago.

No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob.
