Geneva Belle Osborn, 84, of Cassville, formerly of Kansas City, passed away Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, at the home of her son, where she resided the last two years.

She was born at Washburn on May 22, 1926, the daughter of Robert F. and Nellie (Davis) Porter, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Wilbur, Willard and Wayne Porter and two sisters, Mary Ida Vickers and baby sister, Shirley Porter.

Survivors include: her son, Alvin Pryor and his wife, Mari Jo, of Cassville; two daughters, Sheila Pryor, of Kansas City, and Mary Moore, of Kansas City, Kan.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She received her education in Stotts City. She was a seamstress for Gay Gibson Company in Kansas City for many years. She was a Jehovah's Witness and belonged to the Westport Congregation. She returned to Barry County in 2008 to make her home.

Graveside services were held Tuesday in Sparks Cemetery, Butterfield, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Michael Landis conducted the services.
