Ronald J. Woodward, 61, of Seligman, passed away Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, in the V.A. Hospital in Little Rock, Ark.
He was born Oct. 28, 1948, in Sterling, Colo., the son of Jack and Bernice (Albradnt) Woodward. On April 9, 2009, in Eureka Springs, Ark., he was united in marriage to Rita Vineyard, who survives.
Additional survivors include: one daughter, Jodi Gage and her husband, John, of Austin, Texas; his father, Jack Woodward, of Shafter, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Sandra Winzer, of Monett; two stepsons, Anthony Winzer, of Monett, and Christopher Winzer, of Seligman; two sisters, Cheri Payne and her husband, Jim, of Shafter, Calif., and Terri Woodward, of Bakersfield, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was his mother.
He received his education in Bellflower, Calif., where he graduated from high school. During the Vietnam War, he served in the U.S. Navy. Around 20 years ago, he moved from California to Missouri to make his home. His favorite pastime was fishing.
A memorial service will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the family home.
Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
