Clyde E. Boyette, 66, of Purdy, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010, in his home.

He was born May 29, 1944, in Huntsville, Ala., the son of Dewey L. and Ethel (Tipton) Boyette. On Aug. 21, 1970, he was united in marriage to Barbara Givens, who survives.

Additional survivors include: one son, Lee Boyette, of Purdy; a son-in-law, Shelby Durm, of Cassville; two brothers, Gary Boyette, of Rutledge Hill, Tenn., and Ricky Boyette, of Arlington, Texas; one sister, Scarlett Sizer, of Arlington, Texas; and two grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a daughter, Melonee Dawn Durm.

He received his education in Manchester, Tenn., where he graduated from high school. For several years, he was employed for Clark-Aiken as a machinist in Arlington, Texas. In 2006, he moved to Purdy to make his home.

Graveside services were held Friday at Oak Hill Cemetery, Cassville, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Chaplain Jack Betts conducted the services.
