Richard Floyd Wilhelm, 75, a resident of Williamsburg, since 1989, passed away at his home on July 21, 2010. Richard was born in Barry County, Missouri on October 12, 1934 to Milton and Helen (Fawner) Wilhelm.

He was retired as a Staff Sergeant from the U. S. Air Force and was a member of the Kirland AFB, New Mexico unit that won the 1967 Senter Award for surpassing established norms in the area of mission accomplishment and operational readiness. Mr. Wilhelm was a former resident of Farmington, N.M.

He is survived by his wife, Anna J. Wilhelm, of the family home; a son, Mike Wilhelm, of Seattle, Wash.; daughter, Chris Slagle, of Kennewick, Wash.; step daughter, Tina Ann Yazzie, of Gallup, N.M.; a nephew, Brian Wilhelm, of Pleasant Ridge, Ark.; and six grandchildren, Marc Vaughn, Matthew Slagle, Christenson Karl, Shane Dolorean, Mariah Cheriť and Skyler Tse'betah.

A Memorial Celebration service was held in the Chapel of Kirikos Family Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Dale Twyeffort officiating. Inurnment will be held in the Memory Gardens Cemetery in Farmington, N.M., on Thurs-day, July 29, 2010, at 11 a.m.
