Hollis D. Baker, 82, WWII Paratrooper, retired owner and developer of medical manufacturing company, retired Boeing executive, beloved husband, father, Papa and Poppy passed July 10, 2010.

Hollis was born on November 10, 1927, to Charley and Lela (Dilbeck) Baker in Cassville. He was united in marriage on August 12, 1946, to Margarette Smith, who preceded him in death on June 24, 2004. He is also preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Mason Baker.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Dr. Michael Gordon, of Derby, Kan.; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Marilyn Baker, of Bentonville, Ark.; four grandchildren, Kimberly and Brent McCollum, of Derby, Kan., Ryan and Zoe Gordon, of Olathe, Kan., Nicole and Dan Barker, of Olathe, Kan., and Megan and James Baber, of Bentonville, Ark.; and seven great-grandchildren, Chase and Molly Jo McCollum, Michael and Lila Gordon, Hudson Barker, Maci and Kennedy Baber.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 17, 2010, in Corinth Baptist Church, Cassville under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Reverend Bob Neeley will conduct the services. Burial with military honors was at Oak Hill Cemetery, Cassville.
