Tim D. Kirk, 61, of Eagle Rock, passed away Friday, July 23, 2010, in St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield.
He was born Jan. 3, 1949, in Gorman, Texas, the son of Homer H. and Rena Mae (Smith) Kirk. On Sept. 26, 1981, in Dallas, Texas, he was united in marriage to Kathleen J. "Kathy" Clifford, who survives.
Additional survivors include: a daughter, Angela Skurka, of Chicago, Ill.; two grandchildren; one brother, Jim Kirk, of Texas; two sisters, Brenda Newton and Linda Wooldridge, both of Texas; and his mother and father-in-law, Betty and Ralph Clifford, of Cassville.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
He received his education in Missouri and continued on to college at St. Mary's College in St. Louis, where he graduated. He enjoyed building and was a "handy man." He was a commercial real estate owner and investor, serving on the board of the Dallas Boys and Girls Club and was the head of the construction committee for many years. In October 2006, he and Kathy made their home on Table Rock Lake. Tim and Kathy served on the building committee for the St. Edward's Parish Center.
Funeral services were held Monday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. Paul Wahlert conducted the services. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 29, 2010, in Oakland Cemetery, Gorman, Texas, under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. Tony Ball will conduct the services.
