Dorothy Irene Youngblood passed away on Saturday, July 03, 2010, after a long battle with Alzheimers.

She was born April 3, 1927, in Carthage, to Benjamin and Irene Wampler Mevey.

Survivors include: Floyd Youngblood, whom she married 62 years ago on Jan. 1, 1948; four children, Charles (Debbie) Youngblood, Carthage, Gary (Susan) Youngblood, Cassville, Mary Jane (Doug) Marshall, Indianapolis, Ind., and Susan (Kim) Wendleton, Carthage; one sister, Neva Jean Kelly, Monett; brother, Benny (Earlene) Mevey, Wichita, Kan.; sister-in-law, Betty Farrington, Carthage; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Lisher and Helen Allsbury.

She and her husband owned and operated Spring River Fertilizer Service and farmed. She was a member of Fairview Christian Church.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at Fairview Christian Church.
