The Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce will host its first Friday Squared event on the downtown square in Cassville on Friday, July 9.

"Friday Squared will offer something new and different to our community," said Mindi Artherton, chamber executive director. "Everyone can enjoy live music, shopping, delicious food, activities for the kids and an outdoor movie all in one evening right here in Cassville."

The Friday Squared pre-show block party will kick off at 7 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy live musical entertainment by Barry County Connection, which includes Jay Bailey, Eli Stehlik, Rocky England, Tim Thompson and Ryan Preddy.

Children's activities will also be available during the pre-show. Kornerstone will offer face painting, and Cassville First Baptist Church will host a variety of kids' activities.

"The event will offer something for everyone," said Artherton. "Live music, shopping and dining for the adults and activities and a PG movie for the kids. Parents and kids alike will enjoy Friday Squared."
