Chong Wa Hang, 81, of St. Paul, Minn.,, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2010, in his home.

He was born March 6, 1929, in Laos, the son of Nhia Dang Hang and Yang Lo Hang. He was united in marriage to Tria Lee, who survives.

Additional survivors include: three sons, Christopher V. Hang, Long Hang and Moua Hang; four daughters, Laura H. Vang, Kristy Hang, Kathy H. Vang and Mary H. Lee; four brothers, Xai Wa Hang, Chia Ge Hang, Dang Ker Hang and Phia Hang; six sisters, Xia Hang, Yee Hang, See Hang, Soua Hang, Ying Hang and Yia Hang; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Blia Xay Hang.

He grew up in Laos, where he worked with the United States C.I.A. during the Vietnam War. Thirty years ago, he moved from Laos to the United States to make his home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Friday, June 25, until Monday, June 28, in McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Newtonia Cemetery, Newtonia.
