Lowell Vaughn Cooper, 76, of Blue Springs, passed away June 4, 2010, after a long illness. He was born on June 5, 1933, to Lowell and Geneva Cooper, of Shell Knob. He graduated from Cassville High School and attended Southwest Missouri State University. He served three years in the U.S. Air Force.
He had a 35-year career with the Safeway Stores and then worked 15 years for the Kansas City Auto Auction.
He was a member of the Blue Springs First Baptist Church, where he had a bus ministry.
Survivors include: his wife, Patricia, of the home; three stepchildren, Randy Groves, Jeff Groves and Karen Hudson; a brother, Lloyd Cooper, of Cape Fair; a sister, etta Faye DeMoss, of Kansas City; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held June 8 at the Blue Springs First Baptist Church.
