Dar Lene Ewbank, 72, of Washburn, passed away Monday, May 31, 2010, in her home.

She was born in Jefferson, Iowa, the daughter of Frankie and Violet (Kerschner) Nelson. On June 7, 1963, in Pomona, Calif., she was united in marriage to Phillip Ray Ewbank, who survives.

Additional survivors include: one son, David Ewbank, of Ontario, Calif.; one sister, Donna Clark, of Christoval, Texas; and two grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one daughter, Eva Marie Ewbank; and one brother, Don Nelson.

Dar Lene received her education in Chino, Calif., where she graduated from high school. She attended San Bernardino Junior College and received her associate's degree. Most of her life was spent caring for children in her daycare business. Seventeen years ago, she moved from Montclair, Calif., to Washburn to make her home. She was a member of the Church of God (Seventh Day) in Springdale, Ark.

Funeral services were held Friday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Tom Justus conducted the services. Burial will be at a later date in Forest Lawn -- Covina Hills, in Covina, Calif.
