Jimmy L. Bean, 74, of Washburn, passed away at his home on Sunday, May 30, 2010, following a lengthy illness.
He was born on March 26, 1936, son of Hardy and Iva McKay Bean, in Wellington, Texas. He moved to Barry County from Paris, Texas, in 1996. He was in the construction business.
He married Katie Watson on July 23, 1956, in Hugo, Okla. She survives.
Additional survivors include: one son, Faron Bean, of Idabel, Okla.; two daughters, Linda Taylor and Lisa Harris and her husband, Joel, all of Washburn; six grandsons; four granddaughters; several great-grandchildren; three brothers, Don Bean, of Moscow, Texas, Dale Bean, of Springfield, Ore., and Paul Bean, of Paris, Texas; and one sister, Iva Lee Wheeler, of Clarksville, Texas.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, David Bean, one son-in-law, Rick Taylor, one grandson, one great-granddaughter, several brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were held at the Bible Way Holiness Church in Washburn Tuesday, with Pastor Frank Parson officiating. Burial followed at Roller Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Faron Bean, Joel Harris, Tim Bean, Justin Harris, Dallas Taylor, Danny Dalton, Dave Dalton and Bruce Day.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bible Way Holiness Building Fund in care of the funeral home.
Arrangements were under the direction of the White Funeral Home, Cassville.
