Mary Helen Wormington, 68, of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2010, in her home.

She was born June 22, 1941, in Barry County, the daughter of Raymond and Mary (Hubbell) Hayes. On April 12, 1960, she was united in marriage to Wayne Wormington, who preceded her in death on May 12, 2008. Also preceding her in death were her parents; two daughters, Patsy and Julie Ann; and two brothers, George and Delbert.

Survivors include: one son, Michael Wayne Wormington and his wife, Lorey, of Cassville; three daughters, Deborah C. Wormington, of Cassville, Cathy Jo Lowe, of Cassville, and Sandra J. Von Lienen and her husband, Dale, of Mapleton, Ill.; one brother, Lloyd Hayes, of Fayetteville, Ark.; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She received her education at Cassville, graduating from Cassville High School in 1959. For 33 years, she was employed as an enumerator for the United States Department of Agriculture. She also was a dairy farmer at East Purdy and McDowell. In 1987, she moved to Greenfield to make her home.

Graveside services were held Monday at Purdy Cemetery under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. Jack Freeman conducted the services.
