Howard L. Moore, 93, of Cassville, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010, in his home.

He was born Aug. 13, 1916, in Cassville, the son of Rufus C. and Mittie M. (Johnson) Moore. On Nov. 23, 1950, in Cassville, he was united in marriage to Barbara E. Bradley, who preceded him in death on April 7, 1995. Also preceding him in death were his parents; an infant brother; a sister; and a grandson.

Survivors include: two sons, Howard Leon Moore and his wife, Ramona, of Elverson, Penn., and David "Lynn" Moore, of Cassville; two daughters, Leona V. Harris, and her husband, Johnnie, of Joplin, and Robin Lynnett Higgins and her husband, David, of Brighton, Tenn.; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

He received his education at Horner School near Cassville. During World War II, he entered the United States Army and served from Oct. 21, 1943, until March 4, 1946. Most of his life was spent as a machinist for Rocket Dyne at Neosho. He was a member of Mill Street Church of Christ, Cassville.

Funeral services were held Saturday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Wayne Deffenbaugh conducted the services. Burial with military honors was at Oak Hill Cemetery, Cassville.
