Wayne Delyle Jones, 80, of Shell Knob, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2010, in Cox Medical Center South, Springfield.
He was born July 24, 1929, in Flint, Mich, the son of Ellis and Golda (Gillim) Jones. On May 14, 1983, in Las Vegas, Nev., he was united in marriage to B. Rae (Gordon) Brasher, who survives.
Additional survivors include: one son, Gary Brasher and his wife, Hillary, of Shell Knob; four daughters, Patricia McGuairk, Rhonda Willis, Doreen Jones and Gina Austin and her husband, Spencer, all of Harrison, Ark.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and two sisters.
He received his education at Aurora, where he graduated from high school. Most of his life was spent driving trucks for Safeway Stores in California. Twenty-four years ago, he moved from La Mirada, Calif., to Shell Knob to make his home. He served in the United States Marines. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
No services are scheduled at this time, cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob.
