Karen (Black) Lyles of Exeter, passed away Monday, April 26, 2010, in her home.

She was born in Eureka Springs, Ark., the daughter of John Ronald and Tommy (Walden) Black. On Nov. 6, 1955, in Oklahoma City, Okla., she was united in marriage to Norris Clemon Lyles, who preceded her in death on July 31, 2000. Also preceding her in death were her parents and one sister, Sandra.

Survivors include: one son, Larry Dale Lyles and his wife, Tanya, of Eagle Rock; four daughters, Reda Miller and her husband, Gary, of Purdy, Diane Dodson, of Owensburg, Ky., Tomi Lyles. of Monett, and Kristi Lyles, of Monett; one brother, Ronnie Black, of Washburn; two sisters, Sherrill Cutshaw, of Indianapolis, Ind., and Tommy Lynne Gliniewicz, of Paducah, Ky.; and six grandchildren.

She received her education at Washburn where she graduated from high school. She then attended two years at Indy State College in Indiana. For several years, she was a legal secretary for Shrowyer and Dembo in Washington, D.C. She resided in Maryland and Virginia much of her life before moving to Missouri in 1979.

Graveside services were held Thursday at Washburn Prairie Cemetery under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Ron Black conducted the services.
