Jimmy Douglas Davidson, 52, of Cassville, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2010, in St. John's Hospital, Cassville.
He was born Feb. 10, 1958, in Lincoln, Neb., the son of Vern and Jimmie "Patricia" (Linley) Davidson. On March 17, 1984, in Junction City, Kan., he was united in marriage to Hwasuk "Suk" Park, who survives.
Additional survivors include: his parents, Vern and Patricia Davidson, of Cassville; three daughters, Correnna Davidson Taylor and her husband, Adam, of Austin, Texas, and Esther Davidson and Sandy Davidson, both of Corpus Christi, Texas; and two brothers, Roger Davidson and his wife, Marsha, of Purdy, and Ricky Davidson and his wife, Lou Wayne, of Hayes, Kan.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents.
He moved to Cassville at an early age, where he received his education and graduated from Cassville High School in 1976. During the Gulf War, he was in the United States Army, serving from June 25, 1979, until Jan. 31, 1995. He was a bronze star recipient. He was also a welding instructor for the United States Army. He resided in Corpus Christi, Texas, several years, moving back to Cassville five months ago to be with his family. He was a member of Travis Baptist Church in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Funeral services were held Saturday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Bob Davidson conducted the services. Burial with military honors was at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Cassville.
