Clair Donald Adams, 72, of Shell Knob, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2010, at his home. He was born on July 10, 1937, son of Edward William and Laura Linda (Carpenter) Adams, in Wichita, Kan., where he resided most of his life owning and operating Action Plumbing.
He was united in marriage to Judy Edelman, on July 14, 1973, at the First Baptist Church in Wichita, Kan. He and Judy moved to Shell Knob in 2001 to make their home. He was a member of the Builders Association and the First Bible Baptist Church of Wichita, Kan.
Survivors include: his wife, Judy Adams, of Shell Knob; three sons, Dennis R. Adams, of Wichita, Kan., Rodney A. Adams, of McPherson, Kan., and Wade E. Adams, of Wichita, Kan.; six daughters, Catrina S. Thornton, of McPherson, Kan., Kandis D. Raner, and her husband, David, of Bushton, Kan., Tamra L. Hiser, and her husband, Terry, of Augusta, Kan., Regina K. Ensor, and her husband, Mitch, of Paris, Mo., Traci L. Adams, of Wichita, Kan., and Kimberly A. Edwards, and her husband, Kenny, of Leon, Kan.; five brothers, Dave Adams, of Arkansas, Jerry and Freddy Adams, both of Wichita, Kan., and Mike Adams, of Norwich, Kan.; three sisters, Patsy Wagner, of Colorado, Kathy McClure, of Pretty Prairie, Kan., and Janet Hindman, of Medicine Lodge, Kan.; and 14 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Jody K. Adams Allerton; one brother, John Adams; one sister, Adeline Forsythe; and four grandchildren.
Celebration of life services will be held on Saturday, May 1 at 2 p.m. at the White Funeral Home in Cassville, with words of comfort spoken by Donald Poulson Jr.
