Opal "Nadine" sims, 81, of Carthage, passed away Monday, April 5, 2010, at her home.
She was born May 17, 1928, in King City, to Clyde Cleo and Leta May (Smith) Lebow.
She worked as a lab and X-ray technician, registered RNT, catscan CT and ASCP from 1957 to 1972. she then owned Conoco Oil Company in Carthage from 1970 to 1983.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Carthage. She was a bookkeeper for the VFW Post 2590 and a member of the Business and Professional Women's Group of Carthage.
She married J. Morris Sims on May 8, 1964, in Cassville. He preceded her in death in December 1983.
Survivors include: one brother, George Lebow, of Cassville; and one sister, Phyllis M. Taylor, of Cameron.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Woodard Mortuary & Chapel.
