Mary Louise Homyk, 94 of Seligman, passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at St. John's Hospital in Cassville. She was born on July 30, 1915, in Ochelata, Okla., daughter of Buel and Mary (Bowman) Boggess. She attended high school at Our Lady of Victory in Fort Worth, Texas. She went on to receive a bachelor's degree from the University of Arkansas and then a master's degree in library science at Texas Women's University. On Feb. 1, 1938, she was united in marriage to Nicholas Homyk, who preceded her in death in August of 1995. She was a teacher and a librarian for the Rogers Public Schools in Rogers, Ark., until her retirement. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Burkburnett, Texas.
Survivors include: two sons, Michael Homyk and his wife, Debi, of Seligman, and David Homyk and his wife Marsha, of Wichita Falls, Texas; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will were held on Monday, at St. Jude's Catholic Church, Burkburnett, Texas.
