Loretta Ruth Moore, 86, of Shell Knob, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2010, in St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield.
She was born Sept. 7, 1923, in Larned, Kan., the daughter of Glen Heulin and Lucy Mae (Lawrence) Keller. On May 23, 1942, in LaCrosse, Kan., she was united in marriage to Gerald Frank Moore, who preceded her in death on Aug. 23, 1990. Also preceding her in death were her parents and one son, Gregory.
Survivors include: two daughters, Lynette Blevins and her husband, Rick, of Nixa, and Lee Ann Watson and her husband, Bill, of Shell Knob; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She received her education in Kansas, graduating from Burdett High School and attended Fort Hayes State in Hayes, Kan. In 1995, she moved from Hanston, Kan., to Shell Knob to make her home. She was employed several years as a food preparer at Steak Inn in Shell Knob. She had been a member of Sweet Adelines in Kansas and a long time member of Eagles Lodge Auxiliary of Shell Knob. Memorial services were held Friday in Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Brother Joe Wolven conducted the services.
