Alma Ann (Burnett) Phillips, of Cassville, passed away Monday, March 29, at home. She was born Oct. 23, 1934, in Oklahoma City, Okla. she attended Capitol Hill High School.

She married Delbert L. (Red) Phillips. Jr., on March 2, 1954, and he survives. She was a member of the First United Methodist church in Jones, Okla.

in 1992, they moved to Cassville. After moving to Cassville, she joined the First United Methodist Church Cassville.

She worked for the Cassville middle school office for five years. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Burnett, her step-father, James Cowger, her mother, Edith T. Cowger, one son, Rickey W., two brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include: one brother; one sister; sons, Delbert Lee (Butch) Phillips, III and his wife, Darlene, of Cassville, David Oren Phillips and his wife, Jodi, of Austin, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Celebration of Life services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, Cassville. visitation will be today (Wednesday) from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church.

Burial will be in the Jones IOOF cemetery in Jones, Okla. Graveside services will be held Friday morning at 10 a.m.
